After hearing rave reviews about Vitamin C serums we decided to try our hands at making some, as our preferred brand of organic vitamin C serum was over $60 for a teeny tiny dropper bottle!!
We decided that was too much for a little office experiment, so we set about researching Serums & creating our own very simple - Sunshine in a bottle for your skin. And we loved it so much we wanted to share it with our MG Natural's tribe.
Vitamin C is one of the latest buzz ingredients in skin care, it is purported to work wonders, brightening your complexion & reversing the signs of aging – who doesn’t want that?
Youthful, bright, glowing skin, sign me up!
This serum is super easy to make, you only need a few ingredients & can make your own serum for only a few dollars!!
But best of all This serum is like a little ray of sunshine for your skin.
I apply it nightly before bed (at the same time as our eye lash serum) & let it do its magic over night.
Vitamin C Serum
- 1 t filtered water
- 1 t organic vegetable glycerine
- 1 t organic, non gmo vitamin c powder
Simple dissolve your vitamin C powder in the water, add in your glycerine & shake well.
This will keep well in a dark cupboard for up to a month. Its normal to feel some tingling when you first use it – so don’t panic.
Vitamin C is magic, but don’t be tempted to up the vitamin C level, to get more magic!
As it is an acidic compound & can irritate sensitive skins & you don’t want that. If your serum irritates your skin just water down further with water or glycerine.
This serum will keep in a dark place for up to a month – but using it nightly you will have used it up well before then.
